Welcome to AnimalTFDB 4

AnimalTFDB is a comprehensive database that includes the classification and annotation of genome-wide transcription factors (TFs) and transcription cofactors in 183 animal genomes. The TFs are classified into 73 families based on their DNA-binding domain (DBD). And the TF Cofactors are classified into 82 families based on their function.

We curated the TF families, predicted TFs in animal genomes, and constructed the comprehensive database AnimalTFDB v1.0 in 2011, and published it on the NAR database issue in 2012. In 2014, we updated it to AnimalTFDB v2.0, which was published on the 2015 database issue of NAR. We updated it to AnimalTFDB v3.0 (http://guolab.wchscu.cn/AnimalTFDB#!/) in 2018, which was published on the 2019 database issue of NAR. We recently updated the AnimalTFDB to AnimalTFDB4.0 with the latest data and new annotations.

The AnimalTFDB is the most comprehensive animal TF database, including the classification and annotation of genome-wide TFs and cofactors in 183 animal genomes. It provides multiple ways to browse, keyword search, BLAST search, and download the data in our database. We also provided online tools for TF prediction, TF binding site prediction, and BLAST search.
